Pigeons as Disease Carriers

Pigeons were once sacred birds, but today it is no longer so. Pigeons are today considered as infection and disease carriers. The most famous is the domestic pigeon, in addition to numerous species it is the most widespread. They are the exclusively land birds and also good fliers. Pigeons can usually eat plants, seeds, but there are also omnivorous. This sounds strange, but pigeons are among the dirtiest birds that carry various types of diseases. Every day we see them and sometimes feed them, but few of us know that these little birds can be very dangerous. If you are in contact with them every day, it is likely that you will get some kind of infection. In addition to mutually creating viruses, these birds transmit them to humans and other animals. Their movement is not constant, when they settle in a place, they remain there. They move their nests only in rare occasions.
